Benefits of Dua for Rizq and Success

This supplication was recited by the Holy Prophet ﷺ after the Fajr prayer. It is not just a few words, but a complete roadmap to a successful and blessed life.

1- Beneficial Knowledge

According to Islam, beneficial knowledge is not just a collection of information, but it is the light that is seen in a person’s actions and character. Such knowledge that brings a person closer to his Creator. The Holy Quran says:
“Only those of His servants fear Allah who are knowledgeable.” (Surah Fatir)
If after acquiring knowledge, the fear of Allah and His love for Him increase in a person’s heart, then that knowledge is beneficial.
Beneficial knowledge is that which makes a thought about fulfilling the rights of Allah and the rights of his servants. It prevents a person from evil and inclines him towards goodness.

2- Rizq-e-Tayyab (Pure Earnings)

Rizq-e-Tayyab is not just about filling the stomach, but it is a comprehensive concept that has a profound impact on the physical, spiritual and moral life of a person. Rizq-e-Tayyab is that which provides strength for the worship of Allah. It helps in fulfilling the responsibilities of family and friends.
The Holy Quran mentions “halal and lawful” at various places. Tayyab means something that is pure in itself.
That wealth is called Tayyab (pure) from which Zakat and Sadaqat have been taken out.

When sustenance is lawful, a person finds pleasure in worship and his prayers are accepted. This is the true source of blessing.

3- Amal-e-Mutaqbal (Acceptable Action)

According to Islam, an action is only acceptable if it is accepted by Allah. In the light of the Quran and Hadith, two basic conditions must be met for any good deed to be accepted, without which the action is just a lifeless structure.

Sincerity (Purity of Intention)

The first condition is that the action is done solely for the pleasure of Allah. If it is done for show (riya), seeking fame or worldly gain, then the action is rejected.

Following the Sunnah (Correctness of the Method of Action)

The second condition is that the action is done in the same way that the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, told or taught. If the intention is good but the method is against the Sunnah (innovation), then that action is also not accepted.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever does something for which we have not commanded, then it is rejected” (Muslim).

Some more signs of the acceptance of an action:
Scholars and commentators have also mentioned some signs of the acceptance of an action:

  • Persistence: Persevering in an action after doing it and doing it regularly.
  • Goodness after good deed: A sign of the acceptance of a good deed is that Allah grants the ability to do another good deed after it.
  • Humility: Humility before Allah instead of arrogance after doing an action and fearing that there may be some deficiency in it.
  • Abstinence from sins: An accepted action improves a person’s morals and prevents him from evil.

Prayer is the weapon of the believer. It is not only a means of solving problems but also a beautiful way to receive the love of Allah. We should make prayer our routine in all situations, be it happiness or sorrow. Especially, add blessings to our lives through Sunnah prayers.

May Allah Almighty always keep your table full of halal and blessed sustenance. May your chest be illuminated with knowledge that will benefit you in both this world and the hereafter. Allah create such ease in your life that you become a source of ease for others.
